I couldn't believe what i was seeing. a black eye sat on her face like ink on a canvas. It was a bright and sunny day as i was laying in bed, eyes closed and thoughts far from the outside world around me. shapes and colors melded together in my mind like the patterns of some old quilt. figures of people i knew and places i never been would form shinning through the darkness then shatterning as i tried reaching out for them.
