About me

In my own words, one thing that remains constant in the human experience is sex. This is merely my perspective, so don't take it and what I am about to say at face value. Despite the human experience being subjective, sex is objective, sex defines it. What is the human experience? It is what you and other people experience every day. In other words, your conscious and physical experience of an ever-changing environment. You and I are bound to natural selection, the desire to survive. We work, we eat, we socialize, we fight (in more than one meaning), we slumber. In all of this, we attempt to create stability in an ever-changing environment. We adapt to the changes and if we cannot, we pass away. However, survival is not the only thing that we desire. We desire to reproduce. You and I are bound to sexual selection, that very desire to reproduce. With the desire to reproduce comes the desire to have sex (something I think our genes did not account for or maybe they did...I don't know). There are certain features that sexually attract a man to a woman and vice versa. Status (or at least the idea of it) is a hallmark of sexually attracting women to men. Beauty (or at least the idea of it) is a hallmark of sexually attracting men to women. Furthermore, there is expanding research regarding same-sex attraction in the study of evolutionary psychology (I have articles if you'd like some), so do not think that I am leaving out people who are sexually attracted to their own sex. The way I see it is like this, we ALL have the desire to reproduce. The fact is that some of us enact in the process directly, while some of us enact in the process indirectly...or not at all. Despite what religions or any person might say, homosexuality is not a sin (and sorry to all you religious folk out there but there is no such thing as a sin...it is made up just like the bible) nor is it an anomaly. It is merely another adaptation to an ever-changing environment. I am sure by now you have recognized the overarching theme here, "an ever-changing environment". Despite the ever-changing environment, the desire to engage in sex is consistent and it will remain with us throughout the entirety of the human experience. It is what defines us because it is what makes us. Let us not be ashamed of what we do and what we are.

A little about me, I am currently fresh out of graduate school and practice psychology. I still study it in my own time and read up on eastern philosophy. Pornography is a very important aspect of my life because it simply helps to make me feel good, both physically and mentally. Moreover, it allows me to continue to practice safe sex, release tension from a busy day, quell my yearnings, and be at peace with myself. Sex is a vital part of the human experience. If we all just write sex off as a vile or shameful activity, we do ourselves more harm than good. No man is a "dog" and no woman is a "slut". I think that it is time that the United States changes its perspective of sexuality...but that's a TALL order.

I have expanded my pornography choices to include transsexuals/transgender women. It helps me to appreciate the aspects of femininity holistically.
