Bit of advice

The individual should stop emotionalizing his attitudes and principles. It just is not necessary. If you are FOR something you believe to be right, be for it simply, honestly, and Intelligently, and be ready to change if evidence proves that you are wrong. If you are opposing something you believe to be wrong, oppose it reasonably and rationally. Oppose it on principle alone and not on personality. Oppose it because your conscience tells you that it is not right, but do not dramatize it, do not let yourself develop a hysteria over it, and do not become embittered about it, but simply quietly say, this is right, and this is wrong. ~ Manly P. Hall (Sensory Perceptions Cannot Think 1972, p.9
