The Veil
She wears a smile over the sadness
And over that, a thin veil
White hot fire you are welcome to stay
Says searing pain of love that
Just walked away
Leaving me looking not further
Than this one day
Past each hour and along the way
Memory haunts memory
That hurts to the core
Thoughts of you with her
Swirl round in my head
of hidden treasures she'll find in your bed
Flames of sadness lick away at my soul
Burning one more thought
Out of control
Shhhhhhhh
She wears a smile over the sadness
And over that a thin veil...

they are the most painful when relationships comes apart.
Try not to pout, don't be jealous and suppress your mournful cries.
Especially when it feels that your heart has shriveled inside.
It will be painful, that is natural, it will take some time.
I know the feeling very well; it feels like you've died inside.
Know that time will eventually heal the wounds you feel deep within.
Think about good times to come when you'll laugh again.
You're not alone in this experience but it's personal to you.
So don't go around a mopin' and don't give into the blues.
You have those whom love you for who you really are.
I won't lie, it will hurt and it'll leave a scar.
You don't need to cry anymore for someone that isn't there.
It will take time and you'll love again but only if you dare.
Take a chance from time to time, they are all in reach.
Now you're free to enjoy some time in sunny Daytona Beach!
I liked your body and your expressiveness, now I like your Poetry too...
