The Influence of Taboo
Porn, being one of if not the most taboo thing today is a peculiar thing, as most taboos are, as it straddles the fence of what is natural and immoral. That is, that sex, something necessary for procreation along with the desire and our ability to become aroused in order to encourage this process are a perfectly natural thing. However, curbing one's appetite when the availability of morally using said appetite for it's intended purpose is scares is viewed as unnatural and wrong but at the same time necessary and so, because of this partial acceptance, the taboo of porn is allowed to exist as a necessary evil.
The remarkable thing about porn or the condition itself though is how these feelings of arousal have evolved into fetishes that have nothing to do with reproduction but at the same time not that remarkable when one thinks about that porn is for the most part meant to be separate the natural purpose of sex. That being said, fetishes of all kind can be looked at as a means to and end; a placeholder for something more natural. Of course, and here is where this particular taboo takes on a more disturbing turn for most, porn, or fetishized desire, overtime has become as natural as pure moral desire.
This evolution, in my opinion, is not something to look at as bad thing as it seems more like sexual maturity than immaturity through my eyes. Of course then it does help to keep an open mind about this sort of thing. In fact, when doing so, it really seems to unlock something within me; an understanding beyond all understanding almost. That being said, that feeling of understanding has always left me feeling sympathetic to all perverted behavior including pedophilia even with all its clear violations of trust, these behaviors always brings me back to that sense that someone's mind is simply more evolved than the society around said mind.
