The mystery of the disappearing statuses

Ever since the new site came up however many months ago, I haven't been able to keep a status message up for long. I'll post something and it disappears within days. I'm not posting anything that would violate the Terms of Service or anything like that. At the same time, I see other users with the same status message for months on end. Is anyone else having this issue?

Then again, maybe I shouldn't even worry. A disappearing message is a small price to pay for good porn and good conversation ;-)
