Life After Divorce
Brian was driving to his new home on the beach in Ocean City after a long settlement meeting, yes he was 20 million dollars richer but he had lost everything. His job, his wife the country home, and a bit of his humanity.

Brian asked do you have a valid driver's license, she says yes, as she was putting on a complete Victoria's Secret outfit, Brian turns around and says WOW you clean up well, and threw her a set of keys, she asked what are these for, he said those are for our home here and your new Land Rover Down in the garage. We are going to go to breakfast, then we are going to see my college room mate, and he is going to give you a complete physical, he is an OBGYN but is completely capable of giving you a physical, and he is gay so I can trust him with you, beside he is the only doctor I can get you right in with. She said wait a minute I don't have any STDS, Brian cuts her off and says I know, but you are at least 20 pounds under weight and that can be bad for your k**neys and liver and your reproductive system, and I want k**s. She looks up at him and says you really do care, he says yes I do, I love you Sarah.
Brian says after your physical your going to drop me off here and I ‘m going to empty out the closets and dressers and your going to buy enough clothes and things you need to fill everything back up. Oh and go to the phone store and get yourself a top of the line cell on my account. He gives her his credit card and says, I am a multi, multimillionaire, so buy the best quality things you can get, NOT WALMART!
So off they went, three eggs, home fries, pancakes, bacon, sausage and toast, Brian asks do you have a hollow leg. After her physical Dr. Paul, Brian’s room mate and team mate from college meets with them, and says Sarah you have neglected yourself for a while. Even though except for being anemic you in good health. You need to eat good food and lots of it. I'm going to prescribe some vitamins and I want to see you back here in a month. Sarah drops Brian off at the home, and he reminds her she has a spa appointment at 3. And they have dinner reservations at 7PM.
Brian goes inside immediately is on the phone to Ricky, he asks him how much trouble he would be in if I were to shack up with a woman. He says none at all after she signed the divorce papers yesterday. Why who have you met, he says her name is Sarah Tucker, Ricky says a redhead, Brian says yes, Ricky says her mother and my mother are best friends. Her Mom has been looking for her for over two years where is she is she ok. Brian told Ricky the whole story, about her step Dad trying to **** her, getting abandoned at the gas station, running into her, rescuing her, and falling in love with her. Ricky said Sarah's Mom had kicked her husband out after he hit on her sister and suspected he had something to do with Sarah's disappearance.
Brian says I don't want to just cold call her and tell her I have your daughter, could you call her and conference me in, Ricky says hold on doing it now. The phone rings Pat Tucker answers and says hello, Ricky says hello Mom 2, how are you doing, she says good, are your Mom and Dad ok, he says yes just fine. He says Miss. Pat I have a friend of mine on the line, his name is Brian Miller, she says the quarterback, Brian says ex quarterback. She says oh that's right you were injured, my daughter had the biggest crush on you, Brian says she still does. Pat asks what was that you said, Brian says she is still quite in love with me as I am with her.
You could hear the phone drop, Ricky yells Miss Pat, Miss. Pat are you there, she answers sobbing is she there can I talk to her, Brian says no she is not here now but she is fine, Ricky will explain everything to you are you free to come to Ocean City now that's where we live. She says I have to get gas in the car and get packed and, Brian says I'm going to send a car to you, do you have a LBD she says a what oh yes of course, he says bring beachwear. The car will take you to the airport, you will be taken by helicopter to BWI and pick up Ricky and fly to OC and we will reunite you with Sarah tonight at dinner. Ricky please take care of the transportation, I'll take care of dinner ill get a private room at Phillips. Brian says I have a lot to take care of today.
Brian sets up the reservation for dinner. Then started boxing and bagging up all of Alison's clothes and possessions. Then he started on Johnathan’s when he had cleared most of his hanging clothes he found a big wall safe. He checked the envelope that Ricky had given him at the reading of the will. He found a small envelope printed on it was SC, Brian opened it and it contained the safe combination. Opening the safe he found it stuffed with bundles of 100 dollar Bill’s. There was millions in there.
Also he found a letter addressed to him, as he read it Johnathan talked about how he considered Brian as his son and how much he loved him. Sarah walked in found Brian in the closet crying his eyes out, all the emotions of the past two days came pouring out. Sarah pulled him into her arms and says what’s wrong Brian, he hugs her back and gives her Johnathan’s letter to him to read. She says he really loved you it's good to know you had someone in your life that loved you that much. Then he pointed to the open safe.
An hour later they were sitting in a private room in Phillips Restaurant, and she asks why the private room and don't even think of having sex here, Brian says why not, look at you, your hair is beautiful, your so sexy, did you see all the heads turn, and the sighs when we walked in. You’re the hottest woman in OC why shouldn't I take you right, then from behind her a voice says because I taught her better that’s why. Sarah yells MOM!, stands and ran to her mother's out stretched arms, Sarah hugging her Mom saying over and over Mom I'm so sorry.
Pat says baby you have nothing to be sorry for I'm sorry for leaving you alone with that sick predator, I didn't know, he tried to hit on aunt Sue and I kicked him out. I figured he had done something to you and that why you had left. I have had PI's looking for you since I came back. Pat says we have so much to talk about, but now tell me about Brian, Sarah gets a huge smile on her face, and yells Brian get over here. He walks over Sarah says this is my Mom Pat Tucker, Mom this is Brian Miller your future son in law. Pat pulls him into her arms and says thank you for giving me back my Sarah.
Brian says let’s order and get to know each other. Ricky and Brian watched Sarah and Pat reunite all thru dinner, and on the drive home. Once home Brian showed Pat to the second master and she and Sarah went in to continue their conversation. Brian showed Ricky to the spare bedroom. Then he went back to packing Johnathan’s clothes and positions, it was 3 AM and Brian relized Sarah would not be sleeping with him tonight.
Brian slept in till 9, when he came out he found Ricky on the phone, he broke off to tell Brian the women had gone to the beach for the day. Brian called the storage facility to come pick up Alison’s and Johnathan’s things and store them. Then he went and got a shower, when he came out and had a text from Sarah saying she and her mom were going to eat lunch on the boardwalk and would be back later. Brian and Ricky went down to the bar and had a burger and beer for lunch. After they both worked on projects for their work. That evening Sarah and her Mom came in from the beach and didn’t even seam to notice Ricky and Brian sitting in office as they walked down the hall to Pats room Sarah talking to her Mom says I can’t wait to get back home sleep in my own bed, I hope I can get my teaching job back. They changed their cloths and went out to dinner together. That night Sarah spent the night in Pat’s room again.
The next morning the household was awakened by rumbling of Brian’s ZL1 pulling out of the garage and driving off. Sarah came out and found an envelope on the table with her name on it, opening it there was the title for the Land Rover and a letter.
Sarah
Enclosed you will find the title for the Land Rover signed over to you Ricky will take care of the paperwork. I don’t know what I was thinking trying to take over your life the last two days have shown me you have your own life to go back to. Take as much as you want from the safe and please leave the house key on the table when you leave. I wish you all the best, I’m off to see the world don’t know when I’ll be back, I just know I can’t stay here and suffer another loss or disappointment.
Brian
Tears rolled down Sarah’s face as she yelled NO, NO, NO, NO and ran out in the street trying to stop Brian from leaving, but he was long gone. She knelt down in the road her hands over her face crying her eyes out. Her Mom went out and brought her back in the house. She came in crying saying why would he think I did not want him in my life. That’s when Ricky got pissed and said ever sence your Mom got here you have not said two words to him. The past two nights you spent sleeping with your Mom, and when you came in from the beach yesterday we heard you saying you couldn’t wait to get home, sleep in your own bed and hoped you could get your old job back. That crushed him, he is the nicest guy in the world, as near as I can tell he saved your life, another few months living the life you were living you would have been dead. Sarah said I didn’t mean for it to seam like I didn’t want him in my life, I love him, I have always loved him. Ricky you need to get him to talk to me I have to explain him. Ricky says he’s gone look he left his cell phone, he doesn’t want to be found, I know him he has gone to morn the loss of his wife, marrage, Johnathan and you, he loved you so much. I need you two to get your things together we are leaving in an hour.
Sarah says I didn’t mean it I’ll leave everything he got me here. Ricky says no the last thing he needs is to come back and see something reminding him of you, things don’t mean anything to him you did, now get you stuff together, I call a maid service to come in sanitize the place tomorrow.
Brian didn’t go off to see the world he went to stay with Amanda and her husband Dave. His big sis would take care of him and see no one got to him. She also got him to a ther****t, to try and get him out of his depression. Both Ricky and Paul called looking for Brian, but Amanda said she had not herd from him.
After six months Brian returned to his Ocean Home, it was winter, and it was quiet at the Ocean. What he didn’t know was Sarah had hired a PI and knew where he was two months after he left. She has stalked him from a far, when he moved back to the Ocean she had rented a place next door. She watched him come out every morning walk down to the beach and watch the sun come up.
One day it was unusually warm, she watched him walk out and sit down as always. She followed him and quietly stood behind him, she says beatiful isn’t it, he said quite, then he asked why are you here, she says I came back to share something you gave me. He says why you made it clear you didn’t want to be associated with me, She says well that is not true but ether way your gift will ensure we will be associated together for at least the next 18 years. Finally, Brian turned around and looked at her. Her red hair glowed in the morning sun as did the bright white maternity top she was wearing. She said you said you were going to put weight on me and you did. Then she said in case your wondering Paul has done a DNA test and it’s ours, but then I have only been with one man. He looks at her and asks how far along are you. She says now that’s a dumb question, he says yes it was. Tears are running down his cheeks, she says well don’t just stand there come kiss me damnit. Brian pulls her in his arms and they kiss, Sarah says I love you Brian I always have and always will, I apologize for neglecting you when I reunited with my Mom, but I never stopped loving you.
Brian got down on one knee pulled a chain from around his neck unhooked it and pulled off a five-carat engagement ring and said Sarah will you marry me and spent the rest of your life with me, she says yes of course I will, he slid the ring on his finger and heard clapping and cheering from behind her. She says we figured I would win you over with the fat belly! Brian waved them down, Ananda, Dave, Ricky, Paul, Dana Sarah’s best friend a man he had no idea who it was Pat. Pat walks up to him and says I hope you intend to make an honest woman out of my daugther. Brian says yes of course. She says that’s good I have Reverend Jones here, Dana has a vail for her, Paul has her bouquet, Ricky has the marrage license, he pulls it out gives him a pen and says sign here, he does then Pat says to Brian the beach is a great place for a wedding don’t you think, Ananda says say yes and the I do.
Pat says places everyone, Paul was his best man, Brian took the wedding band off of the chain and gave it to him. Suddenly there was a band on the beach playing the wedding march and as Ricky walked Sarah walked down the beach a party tent was being erected. Gary gave Sarah away Reverend Jones proceed with the ceremony, when he got to the part where he asked if there is anyone knows why this couple should not be joined a woman from the back says HE'S MY HUSBAND without even turning around Brian yells back WE ARE DIVORCED CATELYN, Ricky reaches into his pocket and says here is a copy of the final decree. Two suffers that had stopped to watch, offered Catelyn a beer back at their place and she went away with them. Brian says what next and he hears Catelyn scream one of the suffers yells all's good a sea gull just pooped on her . The Reverend hurried the ceremony to completion. Brian kissed in a long loving kiss and they ran to the tent.
Three months later baby Johnathan was born. When Johnathan was old enough to travel, Brian booked that around world cruse and they took Pat to watch Johnathan when Sarah and Brian were occupied, and they were occupied a lot.
When they returned from the cruse Pat was engaged to a wonderful widower, and although they didn’t know it Sarah was pregnet with twin girls.
Alison was convicted of murder and spent the next twenty years in prison. Brian, Sarah and the c***dern ran into Catelyn at the Pancake House when she took their breakfast order.
It all started four years earlier Brian was going into his sophomore year of college at the University of Maryland, majoring in manufacturing economics with a minor in industrial engineering. It was summer break and he was interviewing with the CEO and owner of the area’s largest manufacturing facility, Johnathan Myers. Myers rarely bought on summer interns, but Brian had an in his sister was Mr. Myers PA, and he had the position before he walked in the door.
Mr. Myers shook Brian’s hand and told him to sit down, he says well I see you have a 4.0 GPA, and you’re the starting quarterback for the football team. You’re a handsome and smart young man I can imagine you have the girls standing in line. Brian says actually I don't date between football practice and studying I really do not have the time to dedicate to a relationship. This summer I need to apply myself 100 percent to learning the real world in’s and out’s of running a manufacturing plant. I want to start sweeping the shop floor and work hard to earn the respect of the workers on the floor.
Mr. Myers stood up and said 30 years ago my Dad God rest his soul, put a young boy on the floor cleaning up, that boy today is CEO, I admire your drive Brian, but let me tell you son there is more to being a successful corporate manager than work. Oh and your hired.
Mr. Myers called on his intercom Amanda a please send Catelyn in I need her to take Brian to HR. Catelyn walked in Mr. Myers introduced her to Brian. Brian this is my daughter Catelyn, Cat this is.. before he could finish Catelyn said oh my God Brian Miller, he's our quarterback. MR. Myers says yes well I need you to take him to HR and get him signed on.
On their drive home Catelyn asked her Dad, do you love me, he said of course I do, why would you ask, she said I want something big, honey I told you before we don't have any place to keep a pony. Catelyn says no Dad that was when I was 12, now I want Brian!
He says Pumpkin I would do anything in the world for you, but your on your own on that one. Cat you’re a beautiful and sexy young woman, but Dad he can have any woman he wants. Her Dad said this is all I can do for you, he doesn't date, she says oh my God he's gay. Her dad says NO he is just busy studying to keep his 4.0 GPA and football he has no time for a relationship. She gets quiet. Her Dad knows the wheel's are turning in her head.
The next day was Friday Catelyn makes a bee line for Amanda. She says hey A how would you like to get your brother hooked up with a bright, petty, smart, loving young woman. Amanda says I would love to do you know anyone. Catelyn puts her hands on her hips and says yes ME of course. The trap is set, Amanda will take Brian out a club and accidentally run into Cat. Not much of a plan really, but you know what they say about best laid plans.
As Amanda and Brian were walking across the parking lot to go in the club three guys came out a side door carrying a girl that was obviously ether drunk and passed out or d**gged. They laid her over the trunk of a car pushed up her skirt and ripped off her panties. Suddenly she yelled no stop help, Amanda was already calling the cops but when she called out both Amanda and Brian knew it was Catelyn. Brian was on them immediately. One guy was holding each of her arms and the third was pulling down his paints. Brian grabbed the guy between her legs pulled him off of her and knead him in the balls, leaving him on the ground crying. The other two were on Brian in an instant he gave them much more than he got but he did not come out unhurt. The police arrived and pulled the two guys off of Brian. Cat wrapped her arms around Brian’s neck crying and thanking him for saving her. She kissed him and it was instant karma.
The police realizing who she was called her father and wanted to know if he would rather have his daughter taken to the hospital or brought home, ether way they would need a blood sample to test for date **** d**gs. Johnathan Myers instructed the police to have Amanda and Brian bring Catelyn home. The police said Brian should go to the hospital because he was beaten petty bad, but not nearly as bad as the attackers.
Mr. Myers says send them to his home he would have his Doctors and medical staff waiting. When they arrived at the Myers home the doctor and his nurse were already there, Brian carried Catelyn in, Alison Myers (Catelyn’s Mom) took Catelyn and asked her daughter if they hurt her and she said no Brian had rescued her before they could do anything. The doctor checked her over as his nurse took a blood sample.
Brian’s face and hands began to swell and he began to feel dizzy, Johnathan grabbed Brian just before he passed out and sat him on the stairs. He called the doctor to come check out Brian, after a brief look he said someone call an ambulance.
Brian woke up in the hospital a week later, Catelyn was sitting in a chair beside his bed, her head was on his bed and she was holding his hand she was sound asleep. The nurse came in making her six am rounds and found him awake and alert. The nurse said well welcome back you had us all a bit worried for a while. She said your girlfriend hasn't left your side since you came back from surgery. We have been able to get her to eat but she needs a shower and a good night's rest. Brian asks can I still play football. The nurse says you will need to talk to the doctor about that.
Catelyn wakes up realizes Brian is awake and yells BRIAN YOUR ALIVE and gives him a big hug and very long hot kiss. The nurse noticed his sheet rise and says looks like you have brought him back to the living.
The doctor comes in Brian looks at him and asks can I still play football? The doctor says I’m sorry son but with your type of brain injury you will never be able to play football again.
Johnathan and Alison Myers and Amanda were standing outside the door of Brian’s room and heard the doctor tell him his football career was done. Amanda started crying, Catelyn was crying. When the doctor left Catelyn ran in hugged Brian and said I’m so sorry I cost you your football career. Brian holds Catelyn and says that's ok, it's not like I was going to get drafted by the NFL or anything (that was a lie he was actively being courted by six teams).
They walk in the room and Amanda says how you feeling Bro he says like I just went six quarters with Pittsburgh with no pads or offensive line in front of me. Then Brian says I'm sorry Mr. Myers for missing work, Johnathan says there is not a person in that plant that doesn't know you did when you get back you will get a hero's welcome.
Brian says look I need a nap, how about you take Cat and get her a shower she's starting to draw flies. She says Brian Miller I do not smell as she lifts her arm and takes a sniff, and says right you are a shower it is!
As they walk down the hall Alison says you all go on I left my purse in Brian's room, ill be right along. When she walks in Brian looks up and Alison says Brian I want to thank you for rescuing Cat I know it has cost you a lot but I promise you, you will be handsomely rewarded, but that reward will not include Catelyn. I mean let’s be realistic you’re from the East side of Rt. 50 and we are from the West. You will do nothing to encourage her little infatuation of you soon enough she will get bored with you. She is destined to marry Dudley Davis his father owns the bank and will provide well for her and my grandc***dren.
Brian looks at her and says are you k**ding me Doofus Dudley Dipshit, I wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy and that's shaping up to be you. Just then they hear Johnathan says Alison who are you to say Brian isn't good enough for Catelyn, are you forgetting where I found you. You do anything to breakup the k**s I promise you, you will find yourself back in Vegas in the all nude review. Johnathan looks at Brian and says it's fourth and ten for the game, if you want her go get her Son.
Two weeks later Brian is back at work sweeping floors and cleaning bathrooms. Every Friday morning Johnathan had a meeting with the entire plant staff, looking for suggestions to help make the plant more efficient. He starts off so anything exciting this week, no one say anything. Brian says I would like to ask a question, Johnathan says go ahead. I would like to ask the machine operators what it is they dislike most about their jobs. To a man they say cleaning up their machines at the end of the day. Johnathan says it has to be done. Brian says suppose I come in two hours later everyday and the machine operators work right up to quitting time, after they leave for the day I clean up the stations, this way you get a few more units produced everyday your operators are happy, and your not paying operators to do minimum wage work. Johnathan says all in favor say I, it was unanimous.
Every week it was the same thing by the time Brian was heading back to U of M production was up 25 percent and cost were down 10 percent. Oh and Catelyn and Brian were in a serious relationship.
Christmas Eve, Brian went with Catelyn’s family to Mass at 9 PM then he took her to midnight service at the Methodist Church he was raised in. At the end of the service all the lights are turned off each parishioner was given a small candle, the first one is lit from the altar and passed down each pew then slowly the entire church becomes aglow brightly lit by a hundred tiny candles.
As they walked out of church Catelyn's eyes were wet she said that was the most powerful experience of her life thank you so much for taking me. They were standing in Amanda's living room, Brian pulled Catelyn into his arms kissed her and said I love you more than anything in the world, then bends down and slides a small box out from under the tree he looks up at her and says Catelyn will you marry me. She said I didn't think anything could be as powerful as the church service, but you just topped it of course I'll marry you, Brian slipped on the ring, she looked at it and says oh my God that's my grandmother's ring. Brian says when I asked your Dad for permission to ask you to marry me he insisted I use your grandmother's ring. Catelyn says Mom is going to be pissed she always wanted these rings.
When they arrived at the Myers home the next day for the annual Christmas celebration Catelyn ran in to tell her Mom and Dad she was engaged and show off her ring. Alison was livid, but with one side eyed warning look from Johnathan she was all congratulatory, asking Brian to have his Mom contact her so they could plan the wedding. Cat says MOM Brian’s parents were killed in a plane crash years ago that's why he lives with Amanda and her husband. We will get together with Amanda to plain the wedding. Alison asks when were you planning to get married, Johnathan breaks in and said next summer after they have graduate from College. While you women are planning the wedding, Brian and I will be working with an architect and builder to build their house on the five acre lot we have on the Miles River. Alison says they can't afford that, Brian says no problem I have it covered.
The next few months were a whirlwind of activity for Catelyn and Brian the wedding was held on the lawn of their new home with the picturesque Miles River as a backdrop, the reception was held at the Perry Cabin Resort.
After their two week honey moon in Jamaica, they settled in to their married life. Brian was became VP of product development. Johnathan insisted that Brian get patients in his name on all the equipment he designed, then paid Brian royalties for the right to manufacture and sell them.
While Brian was dedicated to his work and the Company he made it a point to work regular hours and limit travel to a minimum. Alison more and more took Catelyn under her wing, tennis at the club three days a week, golf lessons, lunches with the girls, and one or two girls night out a week. In between there were the shopping trips, occasionally overnight in a distant city. While Brian was always available for Catelyn and very attentive to her needs Catelyn was seldom available for him, between her activities and comities. At night she ether wasn't there or was too tired for sex.
Brian asks Catelyn one night why do you think you haven't gotten pregnant yet, do you think we should go get tested. Catelyn says it's only been a year we have been so busy we will slow down soon and start popping out k**s left and right. Just think of these 34D's full of milk, how about we go up and work on that, she takes him upstairs to their bedroom, started pulling off his t shirt and says honey you need a shower first, he smiles and says I'll be back. Once she hears the shower running she moved her birth control pills from her night stand to he closet. When Brian came back in with a huge erection he found her in bed sound asleep. To say he was pissed would be an understatement.
The next day Johnathan could tell something was off with Brian and asked him what was wrong and he opened up to him. Johnathan could see Alison's finger prints all over Brian's problem, he realized she had driven a wedge between them. Johnathan told Brian to hang in he would get everything straightened out.
Johnathan stormed out of the office went home to have it out with Alison to stop interfering in the k**s marriage, but when he got home he heard moaning coming from the master bedroom. He burst in to find Dudley fucking Alison. He yells out you fucking slut, get out both of you get out right now, Alison says now calm down as she and Dudley got dressed, Johnathan grabbed Dudley and pulled him towards the stairs with Alison in close pursuit. When they got to the top of the stairs Dudley shook himself free from Johnathan’s grasp and pushed Johnathan down the stairs.
Johnathan lay lifeless at the bottom of the stairs. Alison rushed down to check him but he was gone there was no pulse. Alison rushed to the kitchen and got a big plastic bag ran up stairs and had Dudley help her strip the bed and put the bedding in the bag, then had him help makeup the bed and instructed him to take the soiled linens and dispose of them in a dumpster on the other side of town. Alison took a shower got dressed and went to club to meet Catelyn and friends for lunch and an afternoon of golf.
Alison played the day out like it was any other day then went home called the police stating she had come home from a day at the country club and found her husband dead at the bottom of the stairs.
Alison put on an Academy Award winning performance as the grieving widow. A week later when Brian came into work he was informed to report to the CEOS office. When he walked in Alison was sitting behind Johnathan’s desk, she hands Brian a brown envelope, and says inside is your itinerary and travel arrangements. I have decided to make you the face of the company, you will spend the next month. He looks at her and says I'm talking Catelyn with me, she says sorry but she needs to stay here and support her grieving mother. Who is going to manage the plant. Alison said I have hired Dudley Davis as plant manager. Brian says you have to be k**ding, she says I'll see to it he takes care of the plant and Catelyn. Brian says what, Alison says the husband is always the last to know, you better get use to the new realities, now you better run along and get packed your flight is at noon. Brian says this is war and I have no intention of losing, and storms out.
When Brian gets in his car he calls his lawyer who was also Johnathan’s lawyer and best friend and tells him what’s going on and to pull all the licenses for Myers and to put a PI on both Catelyn and Alison. He also had him start divorce proceedings, about now the prenuptial agreement Alison had insisted on was saving Brian’s butt. He called Catelyn, but got no answer. He leaves her a message.
Catelyn
I just had a meeting with your mother, she is sending me away for a month, and has hired Dudley Davis to manage the plant. She said Dudley was your lover and I better get use to it. If this is true don't bother to get back to me, I'll start divorce proceedings tomorrow.
Brian
An hour later Catelyn calls Brian, she was crying begging him not to divorce her, that she was not cheating on him. Brian says then why haven't we had sex in the last three months, she says we will talk when he got back. Brian says I want you to come with me, she says I can't my father just died a week ago Mother needs me. Brian hung up his and turned off his phone. He just needs to get away for a while, and he boarded his flight for the West coast. His flight landed in San Francisco six hours later, he purchased a burner phone called his lawyer and gave him the number.
