Our $25K Porn for Women Development Fund
Why?
Because the big studios aren’t doing it. Women make up half of the world’s population, but only a quarter of the xHamster audience. Meanwhile, more than 90% of studio productions focus on male consumer. Not only it is the right thing to do, it’s also smart business.
How?
By finding strong female-focused filmmakers and paying them for their work! This fall, we’ll announce the first grant recipients of the xHamster Porn for Women Fund!*
*Please read the rules and stipulations before submitting work. xHamster staff and our team of judges will help choose winning amateur submissions, and work to establish relationships with experienced female directors and producers.
Who?
We’re looking for both amateur and established filmmakers. We want to see womens’ visions and womens’ fantasies.
Young, old, cis, trans — we want to serve you.
How it works
For new filmmakers
Each month, one winning submission from an amateur filmmaker will be awarded $500 by our panel of judges. We will promote the video on the site, and the director on social media. Those who wish to submit a video must use the hashtag #xHamsterForWomen
Beginning September 2018
For established filmmakers
Over the course of the next year, ten $1k grants will be awarded to established filmmakers, whose proposal will be approved by xHamster, to help them create content for a female audience.
A final $10k will be set aside for a co-production between an established filmmaker and xHamster.
Beginning January 2019
Judging Criteria
We’re not going to tell you what your fantasy should be, or what makes something “porn for women”. We’re just interested in original and authentic experiences.
Each month, we’ll debut the new submissions. We’ll then take the top five most popular submissions and present them to a rotating team of women-identified judges, made up of fans, porn stars, journalists and xHamster employees. (If you’re interested in participating, email us [email protected])
We do not claim any ownership of the work, nor do we ask that you make the work exclusive to us. All we ask is that you post the work only on xHamster until the award decision is made.
Rules for Amateur Submission
We will be releasing complete rules in the coming weeks, however, in general the work must be:
Over 6 minutes
The minimum length of the videos is 6 minutes
Be original
Film should be original work, unpublished outside of xHamster
