So, this is part 1 of a story I'm thinking about. Let me know what you think. All criticism is welcome. This part is not sexual and merely introductory.
My name is Jess. I'm about 5'4" and have long blonde hair. I have 34C boobs and I'm pretty skinny. I play a few sports, so I stay in good shape. I don't really have many friends. I talk to a lot of people, but my two best friends are Dani and Lex.
Dani is about 5'7" and is really skinny. She has dirty blonde hair that is a little shorter than mine. She doesn't really have boobs or a butt, but she's really attractive.
Lex has long red hair. She's not the skinniest, but she's really pretty. She has decent boobs and a decent butt. She's a lot smarter than me and Dani though.
We've all lived near each other since forever and we haven't really gotten close until we all started playing soccer together.
One of the girls on our team decided to have a picnic type thing at her house. She invited hella people so it was more like a party. Dani, Lex, and I all went together.
There wasn't many people there when we got there, but after a few minutes there was a lot of people there. I only cared if one person was there, Nate.
Nate is pretty much perfect. He's about 6'4" with light brown hair that's not long, but not short. He has deep brown eyes and he is the sweetest guy I've ever met. I've never seen him without a shirt on, so I don't know what kind of body he has. I've been crushing on him for a long time.
There was some drinking there and I had some to drink, but I wasn't drunk. Dani and Lex didn't drink just to make sure they could keep and eye on me. I tried getting Dani to drink some because she had a bad breakup about a month and a half ago and she was still upset. We were all sitting there talking and stuff when Nate and a few of his basketball buddies came over.
"Mind if we sit?" He said. His voice had a little rasp to it. It was probably from cheering the day before. Nate and I talked a little and he knew I existed but never noticed me.
"Not at all I said. I'll be right back I need another drink." I said getting up.
"How about when you get back we all play truth or dare?" He said. Everyone seemed to like that suggestion so I got my beer quickly and sat back down. They had already started.
"Dani, truth or dare?" Nate's friend Matt asked her.
"Truth." She said nervously.
"How far did you and Jackson go?" He asked. I thought she was going to have a freak out and cry, but she didn't. She kept it together.
"That's for us to know and you to never find out." She replied sipping her soda. Matt looked disappointed.
We played for a while. I occasionally got up for another drink. I was borderline drunk. I started to feel nauseous.
"I don't feel good. I'm going for a walk." I said getting up.
"Do you want one of us to come with you?" Lex asked. She looked ready to split from the game.
"No I'm fine. Finish the game. I'll be back in a few." I started to walk away. I was up at the front of the house when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Nate walking up behind me.
He caught up to me quickly. "You sure you're ok?" He asked.
"Yeah. I couldn't be better." I said losing balance for a second. He grabbed my arm quickly.
"I'm gonna walk you home. You don't look so good." We walked towards my house. It was a solid 30 minute walk. "I'll text Lex and Dani and let them know."
We walked in silence for a few minutes occasionally stopping for me to throw up. He started a conversation pretty quickly.
"Why are you drinking so much? This isn't like you." He asked. He sounded genuinely concerned.
"I don't know. I haven't been feeling like myself lately." I said.
"Oh, do you know why?" He asked calmly.
"I don't know. I've been kind of upset." I said.
"Oh." We walked in silence the rest of the way to my house. We got inside and the last thing I knew was him bringing me water. I guess I blacked out or something because I don't remember what happened next.
I woke up the next morning and heard the shower going. I assumed it was my mom showering before work, but I remembered that they weren't home. I got out of bed and put some clothes on. I knocked on the door of my bathroom and the shower turned off. A few seconds later, Nate opened the door in a towel.
"Sorry, I felt really gross so I hopped in the shower." He said.
"Why are you here?" I asked him. I barely remembered anything from last night.
"I walked you home and on the way you threw up several times. I wanted to make sure you were ok, so I stayed the night. I hope you don't mind." He said.
"But why were you in my shower?" I asked.
"You threw up all over me and yourself. I took my clothes off and threw them in the wash, as well as your clothes. I suggest you hop in the shower. I made sure to be quiet so your parents didn't see me." He explained pushing past me.
"My parents aren't home. They are visiting my brother at college." I said walking into the bathroom.
"Oh. I'm going to get our clothes. I'll make breakfast when I get dressed." He said walking out. I jumped in the shower and quickly washed up. I dried off quickly and put on my favorite bra and matching panties, with my black sweatpants and tank top. I checked my phone before I left my room.
*4 text messages*
I opened them. They were from Lex and Dani in our group chat.
*Let us know if your ok* *Let us know how Nate is too ;)* *Not cool Dani* *But seriously tell us what happened*
I quickly typed a response.
*Guys I'm fine. Nothing happened he slept on the couch. I'll see you guys later*
I walked downstairs and Nate had made waffles and bacon.
He was standing there finishing scrambled eggs. I sat at the island and grabbed a plate. He was only wearing his shorts. His back muscles were incredible. They were very toned and sexy. He turned around to put the eggs on the counter. His abs and chest topped his back. His body was even more sexy than his back. He gave a little smile when he saw me.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I have a little headache but it's not bad." I said.
"Good. Some aspirin will help that. Keep drinking water though, that will help too." He said. He grabbed a plate and sat next to me. We ate in awkward silence for a while.
"This is really good" I said trying to break the silence.
"Thanks. Cooking is a hobby of mine." He said kind of shy.
"It seems like more than a hobby. This is incredible." I was stuffing my face.
"Thanks. I really like cooking but it's weird." He finished his food and put his plate in the dishwasher.
"Why is it weird?" I asked.
"Because my friends don't expect it from me." He admitted.
"So, if you like it, show it." I said.
"It's not that simple." He got kind of angry. He put his shirt on and headed for the door. "I'm glad you're ok. I'll see you in school." He left. I ran after him.
"Hey! You left your car at Brenda's. Let me drive you" I yelled after him. Lex had driven me and Dani to the party, so I had my car.
"Fine." He said. We got in my car and it was deafening silence. He didn't say a word. We got to Brenda's and he got out. I rolled down the window.
"Thank you. It means a lot that you stayed with me." I said.
"Well, I can't help but care." He got in his car. I drove away thinking about what he meant by that. "I can't help but care" what does that even mean?
"When Secrets Come Out - Part 1" - Late Teenager, Jess and Her Obsession Male Friend, Nate.
Thus far, a very sweet story of two seemingly introverted, quite teenagers. Jess has secretly been crushing on her male friend, Nate. There appears to be some sub-surface tension between them; so far, there's no indications of anything nefarious not clandestine.
The chronology and quick change of activities from place to place is making the theme and context to appear somewhat cloudy and confusing. The writing is good, so full steam ahead.
Really nice piece. Can't wait for the next chapter. Seems like Nate has some insecurities it would be nice for Jess to help with that. All in all really good story
