Yeah, I don't know how the formatting got screwed up, but I didn't realize it until you pointed it out. I was trying to write in the voice of the characters, so the drama was intentional. Teenagers tend to over-dramatize everything, and I wanted to stay as true to that as I could. I didn't intentionally leave out how she found out he joined the Marines, I just didn't think it was important to the story at this point. With the story being told from three different points of view, some things get left out from each perspective. I do plan on writing about how she finds out he is going to Iraq, however. |
