I've read Rhiannon's other story about the widower who falls for his sister-in-law. Both characters have something in common...they're decent men. Perhaps idealized versions of the author if not actually like the author himself. |
| 2012-08-09 22:44:47 | A Game of Inches - Part 13 | I find myself approaching the end of a chapter like the end of a delicious meal...with a bit of sadness. The story is so good that I am fearful that something untoward is going to happen. I mentioned that it felt as though the story would be winding down soon (of course I was attacked for this reasoning). I'm certainly not trying to tell the author how to write his story. It's just that I like this character and am hoping that he has a happy ending. He has certainly had his share of heartbreak. He is such a pure, innocent that I fear that the wrong woman will come along and tear his heart to shreds. I'm hoping that Alexis and he can get married and live happily ever after. Hey, that's MY wish. No threesomes. No wild orgies. Small town, country boy gentleman makes it big without turning into a monster. For me the sex scenes are not even a big deal. I'm invested in the character now. I care about what happens to him rather than just getting off on who he is screwing. |

There are plent of stories about casual sex and threesomes and orgies, blah, blah, blah. How many authors on this site can carry a series damned near a book about real three dimensional characters whose lives aren't comsumed with having sex with as many partners as humanly possible? Just my two cents... Rhiannon would be wasting his talent writing stories that are already a dime a dozen on this site. |
