I find white parents were usually okay with me dating their sons. I dated a Chinese guy in high school from Hong Kong. His parents did NOT like him seeing me. He got blasted for it and we had to sneak around. It was entirely based on the bad history and I understood that. I found that Chinese, Korean, and Filipino parents all had that it common. It is sad to have that issue based terrible things from the past that I cannot change and was not involved in. But, my parents also had a thing against me dating outside my own race. Its so stupid, but in some cases I can see why... even if I don't agree. |
