| 2010-08-02 16:59:44 | I have read Dragonriders of Pern, this is absolutely nothing like it. And I find her dragons and characters stoic, monotonous, and unbelievable. The only book from her I enjoyed was Dragon Song, and even that I only ever bothered to read once. Her dragons don't even seem like they could exist in our dimension, and that "Thread" is wholly unbelievable as a viable enemy. Coming from a moon? If you want a truly good series involving dragons, DragonLance Saga is my inspiration. Also read "A Time for Dragons" which is about time traveling dinosaurs. XD Even I couldn't think up that one! |
