Being a writer myself, I find myself frequently reading and re-reading what I write to correct the mistakes I make in word usage, spelling and grammar. I also find it quite useful to use an editing program like Grammarly or at the very least the spell and grammar checker in Word. I also find it helps to have someone read my work for me and suggest corrections and edits. That above everything else is the most useful.
